Chapter president Dave Hans has announced a new procedure through which the chapter will communicate should it be necessary to cancel a dance (due to snow or other reasons). In such a case, the chapter will take the following steps:
- Our web site will have a statement in red on the front page stating that the dance has been cancelled and giving the reaons for the cancellation.
- The chapter will attempt to have the cancellation announced by local television and radio stations.
- Chapter members will be given the opportunity to provide their cellular telephone numbers so that they may receive cancellation notices via text message.
- Cancellation notices will be sent via the chapter's email mailing list. (Subscribe to the list.)
- The chapter will post a notice on the doors at the dance venue (e.g. the IPFW Walb Student Union building).
- The chapter will place an announcement on the voice mail system at the following telephone number: (260) 494-3185. This number will be available for such information only on the day of a dance.
